It might not seem like a big deal but my pancake making worked great today! I did what Effie and Tom suggested - let there be lumps (yuck) and put a little oil in the mix so they don't stick.
I got bubbles and golden brown on the outside. Oh yeah, who's rockin' the flapjacks now?!
And I know that you are wondering about today's toppings (maybe not but I'm tellin' ya anyway). It was lovely raspberry jam and maple butter from Dickinson Bros. So yummy!
'Hope everyone out there in the Republic also had a great Sunday breakfast. Now for the big walk to work it all off!
They look wonderful. Now, make them 4 out of the next 6 mornings...or perhaps for lunch...as I have seen happen when camping and you will never forget the magic recipe!
ReplyDeleteWay to go Annie!
ReplyDeleteWe spent our Sunday Breakfast at a HoJo's in Fredericton, and enjoyed the continental breakfast. We watched a little boy named Achmed tease his sister Bridget, then he cried as he tried to blame her for his pestering. Breakfast and a show. A group of young hockey players threw buns at each other, and a dad had a t-shirt that said "I don't need an encyclopaedia- my wife knows everything."
Lovely cool, brisk and clear, like an Ontario winter.
